Today we focus on chamber music from Estonia. The country has a rich tradition, especially in choral music.
Despite all the oppressions the country has faced, Estonian culture has been preserved. This is also reflected in classical music, of which some examples will be featured in this broadcast.
Cyrillus Kreek: Folk Songs 1, 2, and 3 – Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir
Heino Eller: Lyric Pieces for Piano, Violin, and Cello No. 1 and 2 – Mari Poll, violin; Henry-David Varema, cello; and Mikhel Poll, piano.
