Under the title ‘Herreweghe’s Choice’ the famous conductor Philippe Herreweghe will be conducting his four favourite cantatas by J S Bach on 23rd January in the Concertgebouw
He’ll be doing that together with ‘his’ Collegium Vocale Gent and four top soloists, including soprano Dorothee Mields, countertenor Alex Potter and bass Peter Kooij.
Cantatas
The four cantatas are: ‘Bleib bei uns, denn es will Abend werden‘ BWV 6, ‘Mit Fried und Freud ich fahr dahin‘ BWV 125, ‘Was Gott tut, das ist wohlgetan‘ BWV 98 and ‘Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben‘ BWV 147.
