Contemporary music.
Bill Hopkins (1943-1971) and Elisabeth Lutyens (1906-1983, pictured) were two British composers whose success didn’t come easily. Hopkins did not live to see his success; he passed away at the age of 37. Lutyens, on the other hand, had to wait until the age of 41 to achieve recognition for her work.
