New CDs with Early Music. William Christie’s French company Les Arts Florissants released a new CD in 2021: “N’espérez plus, mes yeux.” Court songs from the second half of the 16th century and the first half of the 17th century. It is part 3 of the CD series “Airs sérieux et à boire”, so that promises variety.
More variety today by older instrumental and vocal works by French baroque masters Jean-Baptiste Lully and Marc-Antoine Charpentier.
