CCRadio Part 4. D’incise / Diatribes. CC-radio dives into the world of netlabels and Creative Commons licensed music. A special world full of passionate musicians and devotees.
If there is one name that enjoyed fame in Creative Commons music without maybe really broken through into the mainstream, it is the Swiss king of improvisation: D’Insice. Born in 1983, he is a member of the Audioactivity Music and Visual Collective which was founded in Geneva in Switzerland in 2000.
In 2002 he started to produce different electronic types of music himself, from dub to electronic music and very soon into the direction of the more experimental music. In 2004 he released his first self produced albums on net labels like Zumogen and Test Tube. He started to produce his own albums with his own music and the music of others with net label ‘Insubordinations’ and cooperated in the background with net label AudioActivity. Next to his solo career he started several improvisation projects of which Diabribes and Karst are the best known.
As Diatribes a lot of musicians were invited to perform together of to do studio sessions. This resulted into a pretty impressive catalogue which is far from completion yet. The snowball of releases keeps on growing and a look into the concert calendar and future events shows a rich calendar throughout the whole of Europe and even Japan, either as D’Incise or as Diatribes.
Almost all releases can be downloaded for free as Creative Commons album.
