The highlights of 1906. Productions are pouring in from different European countries. But change is tangible, albeit very slow. But everyone is doing their own thing, from Rachmaninov to Nielsen and to von Zemlinksy. They don’t dare to publicly renounce the past and some of them lapse in quite authentic late romanticism, but it is too late. People now dare to try, to shock and the opera scene will change forever.
