In No day without Bach on Wednesday 25th March (13.00 ) the soloist portrait is devoted to the musical giant and gifted Bach interpreter Jordi Savall.
Although he hasn't yet recorded one of the Passions ( he does tour with the St Matthew ) he is a gifted Bach interpreter.
So today we're giving attention to him as Bach soloist. We're broadcasting the 3 beautiful gamba sonates, which he plays accompanied by Ton Koopman, and excerpts from The Art of Fugue.
