On 9th January the preliminary rounds of the Dutch Violin Competition started in Utrecht . Talented violinists between 6 and 26 years old, divided into 3 age categories, performed in front of a professional jury and the public.
After almost 80 performances during the preliminary rounds in the Utrecht Conservatorium, the competition continues in TivoliVredenburg. During the semifinals the talents will perform a personally chosen programme, after which the surviving candidates compete for the coveted prizes on 6th February .
The Concertzender recorded the preliminary rounds from 23/24 January, the semi final on 30th January and the final afternoon on Saturday 6th February in TivoliVredenburg .
